Day 12

Day 12 was a fairly short day in terms of things we did that warrant including in the blog post.  We spent almost all morning and afternoon in the airport flying from Taipei to Kobe, then spent another couple hours riding on the train system to get to our hotel.  Along the way we were helped several times by kind strangers!  A man in the train station helped us find our train, and he even knew about Des Moines thanks to movies.  And then, as we were trying to get to our hotel, a cute little couple walked us there!  She was Japanese and he was half Korean, and equipped with google maps we managed to get to the hotel no problem.  How nice of them! :)  By the time we got to the hotel it was really late, but wow it was worth it.

After that, the challenge was trying to find food at such a late hour.  We got lucky again and found a great little restaurant down the block from our hotel.  My broken Japanese got us two delicious Okonomiyaki and a beer!  Everything was so good and the cook gave us a delicious sesame seed dessert too~
